The Langley chapter hosts different social events throughout the year. Here is a few of the pictures from these events.
The Christmas Party was held on December 8th, 2012 at the Pacific Inn. The party included the dinner buffet and live music. We had a number of activities to raise money for the JDRF – Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We also had the winners of the mileage program, Ifan Williams and the points program – Denny Lewis. Only 78 people showed up for the event, but a good time was held by most. Everyone walked away with something and learned allot more about condoms thanks again to our Safety Officer Ifan. Our photographer Chris created a photo booth, so here are some of those photos.
September’s meeting is more than just business. We were treated to beautiful sunshine, a pancake breakfast and we had two big presentations. First to Ingrid Barnes who retired from Barnes to travel with Greg and to participate in running marathons. Her good bye gift was a watch used to help marathoners compete during their races. The second presentation was to the JDRF. A mother who’s son has Type 1 diabetes explained has living with this disease has impacted her family and how the support from the JDRF has helped support them.
March’s meeting gave a chance to meting and mingle. Each meeting starts with coffee/tea and Timbits, a check in for door prizes and get information about the activities. The H.O.G. ® store is open for purchases. This meeting, the Ladies of Harley presented some monies to the Ishtar House for the women’s shelter.
The Spaghetti Dinner night has always been popular with our members. This years art work was created by Pete on the fogged windows.
The Valentines Day Dinner met in the pub of a local golf and country club. Love was in the air as hug and kisses were exchanged by all…
The Greek Night dinner was held in March this year and the entertainment was the belly dancer who was giving free lessons to one lucky bloke – your editor.
April 2012 – Barnes Demo Days and Chili Cook Off.
This was a very busy day for the Barnes and the Langley HOG who cooked at the BBQ, made chili and were out riders for the demo days. A record number of people came out for the demo days. See all of the pictures on the Barnes Facebook page, but here is a few of the Langley HOG members.
